Abstract

This article examines Generation Z’s complex relationship with technical-vocational (Tech-Voc) education in the Philippines, balancing its practical benefits with persistent social stigma. While Tech-Voc programs align with Gen Z’s learning preferences and provide industry-relevant skills, challenges such as underemployment, societal undervaluation, and the need to balance digital fluency with hands-on expertise remain. The piece calls for cultural and institutional shifts to position Tech-Voc as a respected and upwardly mobile career path.
